All of our students perform Massage Therapy and/or Shiatsu treatments on instructors for feedback and testing. All of the faculty members are graduates of Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tuscon's internal teaching program called START (Seminars for Training and Recruiting Teachers) and several have received national teaching awards.

Established in 1982, the Cortiva Institute - Tucson is one of the longest operating bodywork schools in the U.S.A. Cortiva Institute - Tucson is proud to be a member of the Cortiva family of schools. The school was acquired by Cortiva Institute (Tucson), LLC on November 1, 2005.
Accreditation
The Massage Therapy Program and the Massage Therapy Evening Core Program are accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) - a professional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
COMTA, a non-profit independent organization, seeks to improve the quality of education for students seeking education in the fields of massage therapy and bodywork. The COMTA accreditation process reflects current and emerging professional practice standards. To obtain COMTA accreditation, a massage therapy school must demonstrate that their educational curriculum substantially meets specific massage therapy and bodywork curriculum standards developed and set by professionals in the field.
