The HoHoKus School of Business and Medical Sciences is fully accredited and has 33 years of experience in career education. Our programs range from 3 to 23 months of practical, intensive, job-oriented training delivered with an emphasis on personal attention.

Small classes and free tutoring are just two of the things that set us apart from other schools. Since there are approximately 400 students enrolled in our day and evening programs, you can be certain that our professional staff will recognize and care about your needs. Our Career Placement Service works with you on an individual basis to make sure that you get the job you want the job for which you are qualified-the job that is right for you! The HoHoKus School charges no placement fees to either graduate or employer, thus ensuring you every opportunity to meet your career goals. The HoHoKus School offers a wide variety of financial aid programs, as well as our own scholarship program. We will work with you personally to tailor a plan that meets your specific needs.

The HoHoKus School of Business and Medical Sciences was established in HoHoKus, New Jersey, in 1968 as a career-oriented school. In 2001 the school moved to its present location in Ramsey, New Jersey. Totally renovated, the building offers tastefully decorated surroundings that provide a pleasant learning environment. The borough of Ramsey, in Bergen County, is just 3 miles from Rockland County, New York, and approximately 15 miles northwest of New York City. The HoHoKus School is easily accessible to all major highways and offers on-site and near-by parking. Ramsey is also served by bus and railroad lines. The HoHoKus School offers the most modern state of the art equipment available today. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and comfortable lounges and dining areas are provided. Three complete redesigned computer laboratories with Pentium 4 computers ensure each student a workstation for ample hands-on experience. Machine transcription machines are provided to familiarize students with current office procedures. The fully-equipped medical laboratory duplicate's a physician's examination room. Nineteen-privately screened areas are used in correlation with Sonography, EKG, and patient care training. Clinical training includes hands-on practice with diagnostic imaging equipment, Reflotron, centrifuge, Hemacue, autoclave, QBC, EKG, and prostheses. Medical laboratory practice includes vital signs, routine urinalysis, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and certifying students in the procedures of EKG, CPR, First Aid, venipuncture, and OSHA.

The HoHoKus School makes every effort to assist handicapped students with convenient parking and seat assignments; however, the building is not completely accessible. HoHoKus School is a commuting school; thus there is no boarding available at the school.

Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is approved by the State of New Jersey, Department of Education and the Department of Labor under the standards for approval of private schools.
  • Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing under the standards for approval to teach nursing and the New Jersey Department of Health and Long Term Care under the standards for approval to teach certified nurse aides.
  • Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools' training has been evaluated by the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE/CCRS) has determined that courses offered at Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools are equivalent to or similar to those taught at the college level.
  • Thomas Edison State College has chosen Eastwick Colleges, HoHoKus Schools as the first proprietary school in the State of New Jersey to be affiliated as a "Degree Partner", allowing Thomas Edison State College associate degree programs to be offered on our campus. A "Letter of Understanding" allows graduates of HoHoKus School Programs to apply for up to 45 semester hours of appropriate ACE (American Council on Education) credit recommendations towards Thomas Edison State College's Associate of Applied Science Degree requirements.
  • Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is a member in good standing of both the Career College Association and the Private Career School Association of New Jersey.
  • Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is an eligible institution under the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Family Educational Loan Program, and the Direct Loan Program. The schools are approved by the New Jersey Department of Education to train eligible veterans under Title 38, US Code.
  • Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is authorized under federal laws to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
