The HoHoKus Hackensack School of Business and Medical Sciences is fully accredited and has 33 years of experience in career education. The HoHoKus-Hackensack School charges no placement fees to either graduate or employer, thus ensuring you every opportunity to meet your career goals. The HoHoKus-Hackensack School of Business and Medical Sciences, formerly known as The American Business Academy, began in March of 1969. Under the direction of Ann Takvorian, Certified Shorthand Reporter, the school was dedicated to preparing selected secondary school and college graduates with a thorough background in Court Reporting and Secretarial skills. The school grew rapidly, its size and scope increasing with time.
The HoHoKus-Hackensack School offers the most modern equipment available today. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and a comfortable lounge and dining area are provided. Two complete computer laboratories of Pentium processor computers ensure each student a workstation for ample hands-on experience. Each student will gain the experience necessary to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing under the standards for approval to teach nursing and the New Jersey Department of Health and Long Term Care under the standards for approval to teach certified nurse aides.
Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools' training has been evaluated by the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE/CCRS) has determined that courses offered at Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools are equivalent to or similar to those taught at the college level.
Thomas Edison State College has chosen Eastwick Colleges, HoHoKus Schools as the first proprietary school in the State of New Jersey to be affiliated as a "Degree Partner", allowing Thomas Edison State College associate degree programs to be offered on our campus. A "Letter of Understanding" allows graduates of HoHoKus School Programs to apply for up to 45 semester hours of appropriate ACE (American Council on Education) credit recommendations towards Thomas Edison State College's Associate of Applied Science Degree requirements.
Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is a member in good standing of both the Career College Association and the Private Career School Association of New Jersey.
Eastwick Colleges/HoHoKus Schools is an eligible institution under the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Family Educational Loan Program, and the Direct Loan Program. The schools are approved by the New Jersey Department of Education to train eligible veterans under Title 38, US Code.
