Neumont University Salt Lake City - Neumont University is located in South Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. While only 25 minutes from Salt Lake City's active downtown, the University sits in a quieter neighborhood near the Jordan River. South Towne Center Mall and Mulligan's South Golf Course are a stones throw away. A myriad of restaurants and other shops are also closeby (including an equestrian park).
An educational model designed to prepare students for 21st century technology - The University has made a very significant investment to design and build an innovative educational model for educating and preparing 21st century technology and knowledge workers. The instructional approach is built on a project-based, experiential foundation that incorporates the tools and technologies important to the industry. Students learn both the theory of computer science and then apply that theory in real-world projects, initially mentored by faculty, and ultimately mentored by other senior students in peer-to-peer relationships. The educational environment mirrors the real world, much as any performing arts environment or medical school environment must achieve high fidelity in the “practice environment” in order for the participants to be professionally prepared for the “real world” environment.
The University has world class industry partners in this effort - IBM has supported the design and implementation of the curricula from inception, lending hardware, software, faculty, and intellectual content to the effort. Other leading private industry participants, including Microsoft and Oracle have also provided significant support.
Neumont University is not an online school and does not offer any online programs. Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS)
