Pat Goins Beauty School Bossier City history - Pat Goins Benton Road Beauty School, owned by Pat Goins of Bossier, Inc., Pat Goins, Chairman, Board of Directors, is located at 1701 Old Minden Road, Suite 36, Bossier City, Louisiana. The school was established by Pat Goins and the late Guy M. Dorman on September 1, 1968. Pat Goins has been the owner and director since March 1, 1970.
Facilities - Pat Goins Beauty Schools occupy a minimum floor space of 3500 square feet. Each school contains a reception area, office, dispensary, theory room, practical classroom, facial area, tint area, clinic, lounge, lockers and rest rooms for students and clients.
Supplies - Educational classroom equipment consists of video tapes, VCR and TV; filmstrips and filmstrip projection equipment; transparencies and overhead projector; anatomy charts; styling posters; and cassette recorder and cassette tapes.The schools maintain a comprehensive library of books and periodicals available to students and staff on a checkāout basis. Chairs, tables, microwave oven and a refrigerator are provided in the student lounge.
Equipment - Student arm chairs, demonstration platform, chalkboard, bulletin board and mannequin bars are provided in the classroom.Each student is provided the use of a kit. Pat Goins Beauty Schools furnish dresserettes, shampoo bowls, sterilizers, manicure tables and stools, curling irons, dryers, portable dryers and other equipment for the benefit of each student. All required supplies such as towels, shampoo and other practical materials are furnished by the school.
About Us
Pat Goins Beauty School has decades of experience. Pat Goins received her formal education at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. She received her cosmetology training at John's Beauty School in Ruston, Louisiana in 1960. After gaining experience in hair styling and teaching she joined Guy M. Dorman's Beauty School system in 1964 as Manager of Guy's Ruston Beauty School.
She was promoted to Styles Director in 1965, Educational Director in 1966 , and Director of thirteen beauty schools and five beauty salons in 1968. Following the death of Guy M. Dorman, Pat Goins acquired her own beauty schools which she continues to operate with the assistance of sons, John and Jim Goins.
Pat Goins Beauty School is nationally accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. The National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the national accrediting agency for Cosmetology Schools.
Pat Goins Beauty School is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology.Memberships - Pat Goins Beauty School is a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and the Louisiana Association of Cosmetology Schools and the Louisiana Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
