  • Ogden's robust and diverse economy attracts new businesses, job seekers and others to the area. The health and stability of the area's market has proven to be a magnet for national business and real estate investors. Even with the tremendous growth the area is experiencing, Ogden remains a highly attractive place to learn and live. Ogden boasts affordable housing, a beautiful environment, boundless job opportunities, and recreation galore.
  • Utah has 48 hospitals including a number of major medical facilities and specialty centers.
  • The Golden Spike Empire is the setting for the campus, nestled between Pine View Reservoir on the East and the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island on the West. Antelope Island, a Utah State Park, is the largest of the Great Salt Lake's 10 islands. Visitors can reach the island by boat or by a causeway. The island offers white sand beaches, hiking trails, a sailboat marina, bicycle paths, horseback riding, and camping. Antelope, deer, bobcats, coyotes, elk, bison and waterfowl call the island home. Other attractions include Willard Bay and the Golden Spike National Historic Site to Ogden's North. The Golden Spike National Historic Site commemorates the joining of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads in 1869. The site hosts railroad festivals and steam engine demonstrations, and a yearly re-enactment of the driving of the Golden Spike on May 10. Just south of Ogden, are Hill Air Force Base (home of the 388th F-16 Fighter Wing) and the nation's center for strategic missile management and maintenance. Snowbird Ski Resort, nestled in the tops of the mountains east of Ogden, is the site for the 2002 Winter Olympic Downhill ski event and Ogden's Ice Sheet will host 2002 Olympic skating events. We host the Ogden Raptors, a minor league baseball team for the Milwaukee Brewers.
